This hybrid event explores the situation of conflict-related sexual and gender-based violence in Colombia. The speakers will discuss their engagement with the Truth Commission, how women and girls encounter violence, their strategies and proposals from a feminist perspective for tackling gender-based violence in Colombia. There will be a particular focus on the intersectionality of the violence particularly against indigenous woman and girls, and ways in which women and girls are developing responses, along with changes that can be made to government security policies.
